Magic dethroned the defending champion Celtics in 7 and stopped the Cavaliers' kingly run for the title in 6, they might surprise the Lakers and the basketball gods for another upset.

The Lakers blew out the Rockets from the get go despite a sucky game from Lamar Odom and Kobe shooting 33% from the field and scoring only 14 points.

You ask where's the team?

Bynum had 14 and 6 in 22 minutes.
Gasol had 21 and 18
Ariza had 15 and 5 in 28 minutes.
Vujacic had 9 in 20 minutes
Fisher, Farmar, Brown and Walton all played quality minutes.

You know what's scary Sir? While the Lakers played great in that game.. that's not even half of what this team is capable of. They turned the ball over 19 times, they shot 46 percent from the field and shot 33 percent from 3. And they STILL blew out the Rockets by 19 (Houston needed a late game 12-0 run to even come as close as that) if Denver does that against the Rockets? I don't think Denver could even win.

That's the difference between the two teams that I'm talking about. Once the Lakers gets their gamefaces on, it's only a matter of time.

Nope. Chauncey isn't a slasher. Read my post earlier

Dahntay Jones relies on fastbreaks. He isn't really a great penetrator and JR Smith right now fell in love with shooting threes. Although he's the only legit slasher in there.

How do you think will he play through Kobe's defense? (9 time NBA All defensive team, 5 straight yata)

There's a difference between playing like a thug and PLAYING TOUGH.

Kenyon Martin, who's a THUG as you're saying (lol) played THUG defense on Kobe last year. And when I say THUG defense, that's mouthing off people.. talking trash, USING USELESS FOULS and look what happened.

That's exactly what Kenyon Martin is. He's a THUG but he's no by any means a TOUGH inside player.

How exactly can you say that Denver's frontline plays ten folds tougher than Houston? What were your parameters?

Latrell Sprewell = Thug, Shane Battier = Tough
Steve Francis = Thug, Derek Fisher/Chauncey Billups = Tough
Kenyon Martin = Thug, Luis Scola = Tough
Allen Iverson = Thug, Andres Nocioni = Tough
JR Smith = Thug, Bruce Bowen = Tough

You're poisoning the well right at the onset.

Of course, guards don't just stand around in the back court and make passes.

Aaron Brooks, like Chauncy Billups, Dahntay Jones and J. R. Smith, slashes through the defense to score in the paint and grab rebounds.

Several times in the series, Brooks humiliated Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum with his slashes inside the paint, confusing the listless defense of two 7 footers. That's to point out the glaring hole in the Lakers' interior.

Denver's thugs in the paint are ten-fold tougher and physical than a Yao-less Houston Rockets whom the Lakers surprisingly couldn't put to rest in as early as Game 5.

If Denver were to do it, they could have wrapped up the series with the Rockets in 5, or maybe sooner in a sweep.

What are Fisher's numbers? Single digit in scoring, less than 5 assists, 35% in 3 point field goals. How many turn overs?

Compare that to Billups, who's playing better than his Finals MVP run when the Pistons won the championship.

Billups put a brain in Denver's offense. Unlike the Phoenix Suns, their successful run can be credited to the introduction of intelligent defense that came with Billups.

The Nuggets are legitimate contenders for the trophy this season. They might pull the rug under the favorite Cleveland Cavaliers when they meet in the Finals.

Update your teams rosters and team statistics. This is not the Iverson Nuggets.
